My first month (man yue) party
Welcome to my man yue party, which was held at Foster's Cafe on a balmy Saturday afternoon. Scones and tea was de rigeur. And my dad also specially prepared a home beer brew for this occasion - a IPA (Indian Pale Ale). It was a fun party for all, including me 'cos I had a nice nap in my capsule. Thanks to all who came!
JAUNDICE!!!!
Oh no, neonatal jaundice struck me!I had to go back to see my nice paediatrician, Dr YY Yip of Gleneagles. My kum cheong parents wanted me to be admitted for UV rays, but thank goodness, my doc was calm & cool.
I opted for the au naturale way. Suntan time. Dad, put on my sunnies for me, just lay off the suntan lotion for now.
Sunlight is good for me.
Here I am kooning by the pool. Yep this is life. Food, sleep and sunshine by the pool. Pity there are no chicks around.Pardon my umbilical cord though... it's dropping off soon.
See you soon.
1st week at home
So, here I am back home in my 1st week. I must admit thatI did not do much except to sleep and to drink.
Mom's been trying to implement a feeding regime for me -
not demand-feeding, but parent-directed feeding.
Apparently some dude wrote a book called Babywise,
which advices scheduled feeding, and this allows
(a) me to have a schedule and gives me security and
(b) allows my parents to anticipate my needs, ie if I cry
before my scheduled feeds, then perhaps there could be another
reason for my discomfort. This then allows me to have a
regular sleep pattern.
It was confusing initially, but as it got along, I must saythat my sleep pattern became more predictable and
by 3 months, I was sleeping through the night. Hmmmph...I think it was not so much of the system,
but that I'm a good one. (heh ... in jest).
In truth, I think the system worked for me.
And just to show off my kung fu moves, I'll show you what
I can do in my sleep. Haieeee..........see you in the next post.
My birth history
This is me when I was only 1 day old (although some people say I look like an old man in the photo on the right....). I was born in Gleneagles Hospital on 24 March 2005. Although I weighed in at a "massive" 3.4 kg (ahem..), I still looked tiny in my mom's arms.
It was an easy birth for my mum, cos even though she pushed a little, I was the one who kicked myself out.
I had lots of gifts from people which I can't use, but thanx anyway. On the 3rd day, I was discharged with my parents back home.
I'll show you where I live in the next post. Till then, adios.

Welcome to my blog

Hi all,
this is my first time posting my blog. Blame it on my dad. He was supposed to do this when I was one month old, but here I am 11 months down, before my first post is up. Anyway this is me in my "boxing ring" and WELCOME TO MY BLOG.
I will try to post some of my earlier pics (the nice ones of course :) ) in the days to come and hopefully later on, those of my 1 year old birthday party as well.
God bless and see u soon.
