Barcelona marathon

It's Sunday of the 1st weekend of spring. The Barcelona marathon is in full progress along Psg Sant Joan, just around the corner from our apartment. It's great weather, 20 deg Celsius and sunny. The people have turned out to give their support to the runners, including the gegants of Gracia. These are large head figurines that usually turn out for festivals in Spain (I think..). It's great fun to have such support for the marathon. Maybe the SSC can do something similar...

Here are the gegants. Around them are the supporting staff of drummers and trumpet players. And also a 'bull runner' in his full regalia in the marathon.

We had intended to go to the zoo. So we took a metro from Gracia to the zoo. When we got out, lo and behold, more runners......
